Being a South San Josean (is that a thing?) I've seen the changes here mentioned in the article. I do wish that the old Barnes & Noble wasn't turned into a sports place. We need more books, we have enough sports places here. It's also the first time I've seen Fry's in the news in a while since they closed up shop in 2021. https://www.mercurynews.com/2026/10/12/bay-area-former-walmart-frys-big-box-stores-new-life/ #sfba #retail

My son and I went racing at the K1 Soeed in Anaheim, CA for the first time tonight. The track is super technical with no long straights, just a lot of turns that make spinning out very easy. We raced three races tonight and we had the track to ourselves each race. It was very awesome and fun. We had good wheel to wheel battles. We both think this is the best of the three K1 tracks we’ve raced. Santa Clara and Irvine being the other two. (1/2)

RE: https://mastodon.me.uk/@UKFilmNerd/117277498524993845 If a movie studio shelves a completed film and takes a tax break, then the film belongs to the taxpayers and should be shown in theaters with all ticket proceeds going back to the government. Edit to add a better solution by @jonathankoren@sfba.social: The film should be entered into the public domain and shared freely. Also: Fuck David Zaslav. #movies #WB #WarnerBrothers #CoyoteVsAcme

Another great episode. I love how this show is a drama that just happens to have #DC characters in it. And it is even better that the drama is good. The writing was sharp in this episode with its multiple uses of the title. The Guardians seem like a bunch of assholes. "I'm sorry about the rental." This is the second time Hal's jumped out of a moving car. lol. "Lemme guess if I want the tomato I gotta get the ham too." #lanterns #GreenLantern #tv

If #AI is about efficiency, and at the end of the day saving money and creating more value for shareholders, then replacing a single highly paid individual with a system that can make logic decisions would be the one best use of AI correct? Why are CEOs paid so much when an AI can do it for less? Let’s start replacing CEOs ASAP. https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/new-ai-designed-replace-ceos
