  Oh damn. I just now realized that all the shitty practices towards users from musescore and ultimate guitar are no coincidence. Didn't realized there was a buy in 2018 already, and since ever the business models seem to get on the darker side step by step. *sadface* Background: almost every time I open up ultimate tabs on my devices I have to run through a fricking mandatory survey I don't have any interest in that ends with a dark pattern upsell screen. :(

  lol. Waveform podcast ad insertion total fail. Instead of the show beginning playing all sponsor insertions back to back with a few seconds silence in between. How I hate this technique in general.

  I will never get why "serious" publishers allow their ads to look this way. This is a screenshot from the regular heise.de homepage. Actively misleading layout that is close to the site ones just in the middle. Come on, if you want journalism to survive don't do this shit. Nothing of this is okay. It is your site, your decision. If you want to show some integrity you can.

  Very interesting take on the social impact of AI that ran by me on one of the endless scrollers: Especially with the pay by use model AI has all the characteristics of a slot machine: You give a task, don't know how long it will take, if it will be successful, and how expensive it is. Which each prompt you pull the arm of the slot machine again in hope to get lucky with a good outcome. High potential to trigger all the addiction loops for many people.   super annoying. Chose the Uno card game from the Arcade apple app store for the little one to play locally. In seems through many little updates that game was transformed into a mainly arcade esque multiplayer online thing. It stays hard to find suitable gaming content for the little ones. And apple arcade is not helping much by allowing all those slot machine esque games with their slot machine mechanics :(

  @gedeonm@mastodon.social I've considered myself late to the game watching Stargate SG1 too (I think 5 years ago), and was very pleasantly surprised how good it was. Very popcorny too often, but generally speaking really nice stuff. Enjoy while it lasts! (still sad that Stargate Universe was cancelled)
