Earthquake, 1974 is the best disaster film. If you take away the disaster you still have some great stories, compelling characters, and fab cast. Less moralistic than Towering Inferno, less stagebound than Poseidon Adventure with a more encompassing disaster. Loved it as a kid and happily surprised it holds up so well thanks to Puzo’s writing. #Movies #ClassicMovies #Cinema #Earthquake

European pals, best of luck thru the heatwave. Here’s some hot tips. Make ice at night when you’re not opening the fridge. Dark curtains help cool off bright windows and rooms. Drink more water before you think you need to. Putting a little powder on sheets before bed can help w sleep. You are correct - humidity is the worst. 🍀 #Heatwave #Tips #HeatwaveTips

Dearest Dead Ted, Thanks for being crazy brave, colorizing old films so new audiences would see them, and making a once might Cable News Network. America today needs more biz and media folks like you at your prime.

Cat was feeling extra spicy today. He held a pile of clean unfolded laundry hostage. He laid on top of it and bit or scratched me (or tried to) every time I tried to get it out from underneath him. I finally distracted him with a toy so I could finish up. #catsofMastodon

I’ve given normal a lot of shit over the years but it was nice to have a small part of me be normal. The brand of shampoo I use doesn’t seem to make stuff for “Normal” hair any more.

Super petunias acquired! Bonus they were on the “we’re cheap not dead rack” and in A+ condition. Got a hanging basket of blue violet with white throated “trailing petunias” and 3 individual deep violet super petunias. Basket thriving in the intermittent rain. Filled old super petunia container w 2 plants. Put one in a pot alone. Can’t wait to see them explode in ever bearing fragrant blossoms all summer and fall. #Gardening #SuperPetunia #Petunia #Purple

That one time I tried out for Jeopardy in Atlantic City and afterwards we ate shrooms and went to the newly opened hyped up Trump Taj Mahal. The view from the turreted deck was marvy but it was all made of beautifully shaped sparkly fiberglass like bumper cars. The magic was hollow. We drummed on them gently for a short while, used the johns, then left feeling sort of cheated. #Writing #ShortStory #Nonfiction
