    Day 11 of coughing my lungs out and resigning to the couch so my wife can get some sleep in. Been averaging 3 hours of sleep over those 11 days myself. Ugh.

    Went to sleep with 24 hours of battery life left on my #Garmin watch. Woke up 6 hours later to a dead battery. I don&#39;t have amazing luck with Garmin watches, huh?

    Of course after posting this little rant about my Garmin watch someone wrote in to say I&#39;m an idiot and I&#39;m surely using it wrong because they&#39;ve never had that issue before.

    Went back to regular running a while ago. Resting heart rate is now 47. Vo2Max at 50 and rising. I can also again easily hold zone 2 at reasonable pace. I feel like my body is reacting well this time around.

    I found out I had bought the wrong Apple Pencil for my wife when I got her her new iPad Air. Her previous Pencil wasn&amp;#39;t compatible anymore with the new iPad coming off a second gen iPad Pro. I got her the base model Pencil, but that lacks features she had in her old pencil. Ordered the Pencil Pro yesterday at 11pm and it&amp;#39;s arriving this afternoon. Logistics, man.

    In remembrance of my friend and colleague who passed away last week, the family asked to donate to cancer research and trees for all. Feels good to at least do something in an awful situation like this.

    Over the past week I&amp;#39;ve been adding unit tests to CalAction. 57 tests to make sure the core of the app which does ICS parsing, is always working correctly. Very happy with the progress there. Also released a bunch of small UI fixes and some performance improvements. Version 1.5 will land in the App Store soon. https://calaction.mijndertstuij.nl/

    Hoping that this oil crisis wakes people up to the fact that nuclear is our only viable alternative to fossil fuels. But who am I kidding? Nutjobs thinking nuclear is unsafe are still out there.

    I really really don’t get why burning wood, especially in residential areas, is still allowed. It stinks, I can feel it in my lungs, it’s a disaster for the environment… I hope one day we look back on it like we do with asbestos now. I will make time to send emails to my representatives to ask about this because I’m baffled.
