fun things about living in the US and watching primarily american youtube. even though i was taught standard british english, over a few years i got used to american spelling and word choices without much conscious effort. i think the most i actively did was switch my spellcheck to US, so it taught me to type “realize” instead of “realise”

Haven’t checked in here for a bit. How are we doing? Last semester was possibly the busiest in my life. I learned a lot. Negative things aside, a lot about myself, my ethics and my politics. The plan for Spring 2025 is to focus more narrowly on academia and get that one article submitted to a journal.
