end of an era: NYPL officially retiring the SimplyE¹ ebook reading app. was a great project to work on with @leonardr and others that showed that libraries could indeed develop quality software and push back against the publishing oligopolies https://www.nypl.org/books-music-movies/simplye ¹not the best name for an app, but we had no say in the matter 🤷♂️
