based on the great post by @dlakelan about #chromebooks, I’d love to hear how you administer laptops for others, especially children. The easy option is to just get a chromebook and have total control but I’d love to start them on Linux early

Really having fun with org-babel. I can’t believe I haven’t used this before! So far, it’s becoming a replacement for jupyter notebooks and an interesting way to do api testing!

Sometimes a #keyforge card makes for a great combo or gives you control. But some cards are just gorgeous to look at. This is my favourite. What’s yours?

Right. I’m forcing myself to use #orgmode for as much as possible at work. So far, all notes for all meetings and todos are there with org-agenda in a separate frame to keep me up to date. Now I need to find a way to auto update the org-agenda buffer. Next will me moving meetings there!

As an offering to the #Guix community, I've been talking about reproducible builds to the conservation tech community. I'm still learning but I build a small project that highlight's Guix's reproducibility and Org-Mode for literate programming. I'm really enjoying working this way and I hope to do more with it https://github.com/mgadhvi/eco-pulse-monitor

There's no greater feeling than thinking you've messed up your #guix installation only to find you forgot a line in your config file

TIL about using .dir-locals.el to have "Per-Directory Local Variables" in #emacs https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Directory-Variables.html

I'm so burred out with so many things, it's hard to know where to start. It's becoming more and more obvious that AI will take away any pleasure that came with coding. It's impact on any other form of media is also becoming more apparent. I've had an interview for what would be a dream job but I don't know if I want to be in tech any more. With tech being my only field for my adult life, I don't know what other options I have
