RE: https://tapbots.social/@tapbots/116971095385073221 This app was a year in the making. We originally thought we were going to ship sometime last December. Good software always takes more time than we can imagine. But we still have so many new features and improvements to make and are excited about the future of Pastebot. Personally, I had a blast doing the art for the quirky Pastebot world. Watch the short promo video on the website to get a taste of it! And let me know what you think of t...

Who remembers Spymac? 🤯 I designed this promo for a contest they were running to promote version 4 of their website. File says it was created in 2005. (7motion was my website at the time.) And yes I keep getting sucked into looking at my archives. Get off my lawn!

RE: https://mastodon.social/@parkerortolani/116450242209207823 I wouldn’t at all be surprised if at one point they send us a cease and desist for likeness. Not the first time it’s happened to us. Anyone remember many years ago when we had to remove the eyes from Pastebot for iOS? 🤦♂️

Can’t help but quietly judge people who drive a refreshed model 3/Y. Like these cars came out well after we all saw Musk’s true character and intentions in the open. And there are so many other EV options out there now. 🫣

New bike park is being built in a nearby city (Frisco). Supposed to be completed this summer. I’m so excited for this. 😍

10 years ago today, I found our app icon on Sandisk's packaging. Also turns out whoever designed the packaging pulled the homescreen image from Rene Ritchie's article: https://www.imore.com/whats-renes-iphone-6-plus-right-now Good times.

The past few weeks have been pretty busy. Haven't even had much time to get on my bike or draw. 😭 But I wanted to introduce a new Tapbots character. Introducing Ghostbot. He's not an app or anything. Just a part of the Tapbots world. 😁 Made some really high resolution wallpapers of these 2 images (for the XDR display) that you can probably use for any device. But worth looking at full size too! 1. https://d.pr/i/NY62Gh 2. https://d.pr/i/X1zmoJ #3dArt #art #mastoart

This video popped up in my feed today. The title pulled me right in. And man he spoke some words of wisdom. It’s why keep drawing, creating, practicing bike skills, and on and on. "Your greatest asset that you have is your persistence. And it's the one thing that you're fully in control of." "When you see someone who really excels at something, it's persistence and staying with it and repetition over a long period of time. That's what...

When I heard the news that the sale of Twitter went through, I was literally shaking. My family and I have had a rough year health-wise. My wife was diagnosed with Lupus and my 5 year old started having panic attacks out of nowhere that resulted in seizure-like symptoms. We had to up our health insurance premium to $2500 a month (Yay America!) for access to specialists previously not in our network. Then I had a bad crash on my bike where I had a concussion and lost consciousness. (1 of 6)

Did a quick Apple ProRes raw test today. Being able to shoot with open gate is nice too (though the wind shook my tripod at the end and I didn’t want to lose framing with stabilization).

I don't think I've ever been more busy in my life as far as the amount of work I have in front of me right now. I would completely drown if it wasn't for staying organized with Apple's Notes and Reminders apps. But I absolutely love all the work I get to do! (And none of this includes my side apparel business I've been slowly building. All that's on hold which I'm still super excited about continuing when I have more time.)

It’s extremely rare there’s a movie that my whole family is excited to watch (my youngest is 8). We rarely go to the theaters too. I remember when movie tickets were like 5 bucks. 🤦♂️

Spotted a baby bunny in my yard. It looks terrified and won’t move. Probably somewhat safe with my Corgi as he’s pretty oblivious to other small animals and he’s not much of a killer. My wife said she caught him chasing really young bunnies in the yard a few years ago and caught one. He didn’t bite down hard and let go on command. The bunny ran off seemingly unharmed. My previous Shiba Inu would have spotted it instantly and ate it. She was a killer. 😳

Took my family to Colorado last week during their spring break. We stayed in downtown Colorado Springs. Did some very light off-roading (safe mountain passes), walked around Garden of the Gods, Explored a cave, and visited a museum in Denver. Was a short, but overall enjoyable trip.

I hope this is the year I can open my store. 😅 I do plan to design/make/sell Tapbots stuff through the store as well. Will be great quality and full of attention to details since I'm in control of everything. Just a million little things to do before I can get there.

Day or 2 left until I get to start paying $3600 a month for health insurance for my family because I am self-employed in America. Of course I can’t really afford it, but I have a child with a lifelong disease that has to be cared for. Living the American dream here!
