FreeBSD seems to have its &quot;own version&quot;/alternative/native solution of fail2ban built right in. https://www.obsessivecomputingdisorder.com/posts/blacklistd-guide/ I definitely want to give this a try. #FreeBSD

A program just crashed on me with a segmentation fault. That reminds me of the &quot;Not planned&quot; closed bug from 2023 in makepkg. makepkg crashes (at least back then) when given an extremely large PKGBUILD as an argument. https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman/-/work_items/64 (As far as I can tell, it&#39;s not particularly catastrophic - just a poor user experience due to a vague error message) #ArchLinux
