    The other day triggered by someone using the term &amp;quot;component&amp;quot; in a way that didn&amp;#39;t make sense to me I decided to go read the definition of the term in general but specifically related to &amp;quot;software component&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;ui component&amp;quot;. I&amp;#39;ve read 3 papers and a book chapter and I&amp;#39;m more confuse than before. We don&amp;#39;t seem to agree on what a component is.
