Recording some vocals this morning and remembering to close all the windows to our place before I start screaming about clout goblins (unlike last recording session).

Roommates agreed to watch Hackers (1995) with me because they knew I was having a long day.

Saw someone with a Guinness t-shirt on purchasing Guinness at the grocery store a couple hours ago and I’m still processing.

Not every day that I’ll agree with a former FEC chair, but yes, Oregon really shouldn’t be maintaining a public list of every person who has given $100 to a politician: https://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/2025/08/readers-respond-keep-political-donor-addresses-private.html?outputType=amp&fuckYourPaywall

I have had my bike less than two weeks and have today got rolled into by a car (car came away with a bunch of scratches and a boot print, bike and I are fine).

Truly a beautiful moment when I see so many pals celebrating the revolutionary capacity of sandwiches. https://mastodon.social/@Jaredigital/115112554171750688

Did something called a 700c conversion two days ago on my ~80s Schwinn with the help of Community Cycling Center and their tools / work benches and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend, I wandered in saying “I think my bike needs to be changed?” and they walked me right through everything and sold me all the parts at a discount / found used stuff for me to repurpose. Mechanic helping me let me do everything, and explained it at a level that was very accessible.

“This isn’t a bike road!”, is maybe one of the funniest things someone in a car has ever yelled at me.

There is a band that practices within earshot of our rental and when our windows are closed every song of theirs sounds like, “Where is my mind?”

Need to be thinking about a cool new mastodon sever to join. I’d welcome input, I’m exhausted at the idea.

Hoping the third hardware store strip this week will be the final hardware store trip, but it remains to be seen.
