tis a shame. Given the current situation I think it&#39;s even more vital to have the virtual option. Wonder if a significant drop in attendance will neglect a lot of the savings. Hopefully they&#39;re recording the sessions, like Viewconference? I would pay money to watch those afterwards. But the lack of communication is not a good look. Anyway at least looking forward to whatever DigiPro releases on the DL later. Guess I&#39;ll see you all in Vancouver 2028!

The #VESAwards took place last night, and Avatar: Fire and Ash was the big winner, taking 7 awards including Outstanding #VFX in a Photoreal Feature. Sinners won for supporting VFX. KPop Demon Hunters dominated the animation category. On the TV side, awards were more spread out but Andor season 2 took 2 awards. The Academy has announced the winners of the Sci-Tech Awards. Several #VFX and #CG related ones, including layered material and shading systems from ILM, Wētā FX and Framestore, stylized linework and animation systems from Imageworks and Dreamworks Animation.
