After months of troubleshooting, I've finally (it seems) found the reason for the nightmarish random issues I've had with midi timing on macOS. The culprit: A usb c-dock (that my interface is not connected to). What. The. Fuckity. Fuck.

I recently realised I’ve been making electronic music for 25 years. When I was around 12-13 I made this incredibly cheesy CD with music using a piece of software called Dance Ejay that could only produce Dance-music. What is the significance of this, of these 25 years of making electronic music? There actually isn’t any, other than this: I still really enjoy making electronic music after so many years. Perhaps, actually, more now than ever.

Found this classic of early 2000's Danish electronic music in a thrift store today. This blew my mind in 2004. I had no idea you could make sounds like these. #nowplaying

I can't believe it but my performance system M.A.S.S. is now finally ready to play live. It's an algorithmic/generative system for improvising electronic music. World premiere next week in Aarhus, Denmark. #supercollider #touchosc #experimentalmusic

Big thank you to everyone who came out to my shows in Denmark these past few weeks. Big thank you to the organizers as well. It's so great to play concerts again, and it's been - despite my facial expressions in these photos suggesting otherwise - fun to debut my new computer music performance system MASS (Modular Algorithmic Sound System) with you all. #supercollider #experimentalmusic #computermusic

It's strange how most posters/flyers online for gigs nowadays almost never include the time and/or place of the gig. It's extremely confusing. I often have to look quite deeply into something I'm interested in to figure out which country even it is in. So please, if you put on concerts, courses or workshops out IRL: Precisely note the time and place, please! I want to join maybe!

My intuition about MacOS and midi loopback seems correct: By plugging in a hardware midi cable and routing all my midi through that between softwares on my computer, I no longer have instability when sending large ish amounts of notes from #supercollider to Bitwig. Why are computers so weird ?

@nnirror @williamfields don't underestimate how much clarity is lost in translation when reading continental stuff. Especially from Germanic languages in my experience. Someone like Heidegger becomes more more fuzzy in English because of small incompatibilities between the two languages.

Big news for #faust and #supercollider users: We merged the new SuperCollider plugin generation tool a few days ago, making it much easier to generate plugins from faust code, now including help files :) https://github.com/grame-cncm/faust/commit/2fcb7aa81cfc9c453b63eb7ff4993e5c9594cc60

Does anyone here have recommendations for a (command line) time tracking tool for projects/work? I've used timewarrior before but it kind of sucks. #foss
