I live in northern Virginia, in the US et je parle un peu de français, mais toujours j&#39;ai des problèmes grammaticals, so I read it much better than I write or speak it.</p><p>I try not to toot or boost uncaptioned images, but occasionally one slips past me.</p>

    Ok. Before I keep going, I thought I&#39;d share my hack for creating a light box for tracing embroidery patterns (or whatever floats your boat). I have a glass baking dish with a cover, so I trap a light source in the dish - a phone flashlight or a battery powered dome light would work better than the flashlight - flip it upside down, and trace away. Before this, I was taping paper and cloth to a window during the day. Using the pan is much more comfortable. #embroidery

    Hand spinners: I have a Schacht Matchless wheel with a jumbo flyer and bobbin and am thinking about getting a dedicated wheel with a jumbo flyer for plying so I don&#39;t have to change out the orifice and flyer every time I want to ply onto the jumbo bobbin. #HandSpinning… (1/2)

    My native honeysuckle vine (lonicera sempervirens) has buds and blooms all over it and (hopefully) it will be like this the rest of the spring, all summer and fall, to the last frost. Edited to correct spelling #BloomScrolling

    I found it finally @welshpixie and @joybooster - the uterus with the googly eyes, but I was wrong about the position of the eyes - ovaries as grabby hands is way better.

    It&amp;#39;s the perfect day to play soccer/football here today! It&amp;#39;s breezy and 60° F, partly cloudy. Suddenly wishing I had kept up with that, I played in the days when shin-guards weren&amp;#39;t required.

    I was going to save this for tomorrow, but I need framing suggestions. I finally finished the hand-spun French knot heart. I should take it to a professional, no? Or maybe I can DIY it ...I&amp;#39;m no framing expert, other than getting most of the hoop goop out of it (grime from my hands). I spun the wool last July, so there was a noticeable grime line when I took it out. This piece, the heart itself is approximately 8 inches by 11 inches.     I&amp;#39;m about halfway through the brim on a sassy Melt the Ice Hat for a friend and it&amp;#39;s going swimmingly! I used some yarn from PurlSoho that I ended up over dyeing with Jaquard Acid Dye 618 Fire Red and I&amp;#39;m really happy with the resulting color! #WIPWednesday #knitting

    Today I&amp;#39;m trying 30 minutes of embroidery and followed by 30 minutes of cleaning because I&amp;#39;m tired of pet hair everywhere and the general dishevelment. And I&amp;#39;m tired of working on the embroidered heart; this may be the only actual way for me to get it done.

    Because I mentioned it earlier and because it&amp;#39;s Friday and the world could use some sassy warmth, here&amp;#39;s the Calcifer I knit a few years ago for a friend. He&amp;#39;s made from 100% angora (rabbit, not goat) yarn. I couldn&amp;#39;t find the right colors so I got skeins of white and dyed them with Jacquard acid dyes, just like I did today. He&amp;#39;s also stuffed with combed wool instead plastic (poly-fill). He&amp;#39;s also squishy and soft and just a general delight. #knitt...

    I haven&#39;t wanted to post much for a few days. The most urgent things I want to communicate are all centered on preventing my government from literally getting away with murder. So my stupid little French knot project, which is helping my nervous system so I can process &amp; act on what&#39;s going on, is of no outward apparent consequence to anyone but me. But we still need art. I finished the green and yellow section and just added the next section with bugundy, both on the right. #WIP...
