@randahl@mastodon.social This is why republicans are so heavily invested in voter supression strategies. They know this is true, so they want to make it as difficult as possible for people to do, to discourage people from doing it, and it works.

@karhutar@mastodon.social @catsalad@infosec.exchange That was my thought too--they're not going to get anywhere doing it that way.

@katzenberger@tldr.nettime.org @briankrebs@infosec.exchange Written in crayon, attached with glue stick. Does 'consumer grade' include equipment installed by cable providers? I mean, is the FCC going to tell Comcast they can't install any more routers?

@chowderman@universeodon.com @Tendar@newsie.social Maybe, but considering that we are in this mess at least partly due to the crack negotiatiating team of Witkoff & Kushner, there may be a gap in understanding between sides.

@dan80@toot.io @randahl@mastodon.social According to [redacted], Obama was a sleeper agent at birth, so that tracks.

@overholt@glammr.us Our neighborhood is surrounded by 100 biotech labs, which we've always figured is zombie apocalypse ground zero. We're just gonna be shamblers on day 1.

@keithamus@indieweb.social .0062. I expected to do worse--I'm definitely colorblind. Always have trouble distinguishing shades and certain color combinations.

@dbellingradt@hcommons.social I am flabbergasted by the scale of the windows on the 'tower'. It has a little door and little tiny windows. Tiny, tiny windows.

@ojonnysilva@fosstodon.org @baldur@toot.cafe Since LLM output isn't 'IP' in the usual sense, you shouldn't even be able to license it. You could just say it's public domain. But yeah, you would think that the businesse trying to replace everybody with AI presumably still want to control the results, businesses like Oracle are going to lobby to be able to make that happen one way or another.

@Flamekebab@toot.wales @workchronicles@mastodon.social In my experience, both parts of the process are needed. You sit, and think about the thing, turn it over in your mind, predigest it, in a way, then go out and give your back-brain a chance to process it without you.

@onpaperwings@typo.social I oversee ebook production for a uni press, and normally we don't embed fonts. These fees are more than it costs for the file conversion. That makes no sense to me.

@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange If everyone was in for Iraq in 2003, what were all the protests about?

@wdlindsy@toad.social And we didn't do it alone. Bibi has been begging for war with Iran for decades, and trying pretty openly to drag us along. He was obviously pretty disappointed that didn't really happen during the war with Hamas, the best he got was a half-assed bombing run. This war was, for him, the end-goal all along.
