@MakersHour@cupoftea.social Q5: If you could have an all-expense paid maker holiday, where would you go and why? #MakersHour I think a big GC to the wood store, tool shop, and time to do projects would be enough. I don't necessarily need to go somewhere to make, I need the freedom to execute.

@MakersHour@cupoftea.social Q4: Have you learned a new maker skill while on holiday? Is it something you seek out? #MakersHour I'm always seeking to learn. I used to help my dad do projects while on vacation. But I feel a bit like harry chapin these days... I take PTO to do DIY projects, which I learn and hone skills, so I say yesish.

Ran... A little send off for a friend running Boston. Not me jelly. I qualified, but didn&#39;t make the cut. Fighting the good fight today to keep the early momentum going. Making kid breakfast then grocery shopping... Maybe it will be warm enough out to do some tree or tractor work. It was raining earlier. I did some work on the driveway yesterday, it&#39;s better, but not good. Still learning. Whats your day looking like?

Spouse had to fly to their parents, to help organize some PT and care for my mil. They are aging, and it&#39;s becoming harder and harder for them to be on their own. Together they are almost able, but it&#39;s not really the case. They need more care, and I&#39;m grateful they can afford it, but this type of situation is very challenging and stressful. I am not prepared for this with my parents.

You know what I like? being able to buy parts and repair my things. I just happily ordered a replacement part for my 15 year old coffee grinder. I need to remember to buy repairable appliances. Glad Baratza still sells parts. Good on them. &lt;please don&#39;t go bad with the acquisition&gt;
