  @AlSweigart When I started programming as a kid, I was already a Computer User, but I distinctly remember understanding there were more appropriate places for numbers (.ini files? command line flags? those sound hard to set up...) but I was handling so much new complexity already. Editing them at the top was just natural and easy. It didn't seem particularly magical, just an accessible location.
