  Day 4 from Invermoriston to Drumnadrochit started on a steeply ascending path until high above Loch Ness. The path descends before rising again to its highest point, then drops for approximately 5 miles / 8 km towards Grotaig After this point we walked minor roads into Drumnadrochit. Total miles/km 14/23 A great day''s walk ended in Drumnadrochit, famous for its proximity to Urquhart Castle

  @heleenkuiper vooral het stuk langs Loch Lomond vond ik toen prachtig. WHW is wel drukker, je gaat hier minder mensen tegenkomen. Dat is ook wel weer bijzonder

  #hiking #scotland The last part would be from Drumnadrochit, where we now sleep, to Inverness. Inverness is the end point of the Great Glen Way but too far to walk in one day. Therefore, we were dropped off halfway to walk back and tomorrow starting at the same place to walk to Inverness. We walked partly past Loch Laide and then again past Loch Ness. With at some point on a headland Urquhart Castle. Now that we were walking, we decided to walk on to look at the remains of the fort.

  #hiking #scotland #schotland A little late to write to Inverness about the last day but I'll do it anyway. From the small Loch Laide we walked further up and next to country roads, through high moors, forests and finally 2 km before the end of the Great Glen Way again at the Caledonian Canal. We followed the river Ness to Inverness and Inverness Castle, which marked the end of this beautiful hike through Scotland. First go to the cafe for a pint 🍺

  #hiking #scotland #Schotland Third day of our Great Glen Way hike: walking from Fort Augustus to Invermoriston. You can choose between the high or the low route. The high one is more difficult but with the beautiful view over Loch Ness more than worth it . We began our journey on the banks of Loch Ness up to the highlands. This section has some steep climbs and is mainly on good tracks.

  #mona #bbb Mona Keizer zal wel weer de volgende partij op gaan richten met een kudde schapen erachter aan. 20 zetels en een paar jaar later weer exit. Ben die populisten zo spuugzat. Hoop dat mensen eens na gaan denken in het stemhokje. Maarja, hoop is meestal uitgestelde teleurstelling
