I got to play Junk Drawer Heroes, a role playing game where you draw from a bag of junk and narrate creative way to use the junk to slay enemies and overcome other challenges. It was so fun, and our Junk Master compiled the best bag imaginable. It felt like Halloween and Christmas whenever we got to grab a handful from the main bag. Look at this stuff! Isn't it neat?

My wife's favorite love language is when I bring her food, so today I'm venturing out at sunrise to get her a limited edition vegan cherry pie donut before she wakes up. :prami_hearts: I'm going to pick up a few extra in case any friends want them too. Donut day!

Finally Hobonichi announced fountain pen inks (and many other accessories) that match the color of each month in their planners. I bet the fountain pen inks are going to sell out immediately considering how intense fountain pen people are. Whatever they planned for launch will be nowhere near enough to meet demand. https://www.1101.com/store/techo/en/magazine/contents/tsukinoiro/tt_inkset_tsuki/ #hobonichi #stationery

Spent three hours beading this little puffy fish. It's not perfect, but it's my first attempt!

New blog post about how I'm justifying not buying my wish list from the 2027 Hobonichi accessories lineup and how you can too (hint: shop your stash, you don't need a new cover and accessories every year) https://lostletters.neocities.org/2026/08/29/hobonichi-2027 #Hobonichi #stationery

Our local Tamagotchi group leader is very suddenly moving out of state, and I'm so bummed. We're having a little going away party today for him. We'll still be able to play video games together over discord, but his actual presence at the meetups was always so warm and welcoming. He will be missed for sure. :prami_sad:

Life has been trying to teach me for the thousandth time that you only fail when you stop trying. It's a frustrating lesson to relearn, but it's entirely necessary to hold out hope. Maybe this attempt will be the one that fixes everything or maybe it won't. Either way, progress is being made. I'm learning and getting better even if the progress doesn't feel linear.

Secured my 2027 planner from Sterling Ink instead of buying through Hobonichi. I'm so excited for the horizontal Hobonichi Weeks layout but in an A5 size. #stationery

Got to use a letterpress for the first time today on upcycled security envelopes. It was very cool to see these hundred year old machines still in good working order.

I picked up this languishing Catkin Shawl project yesterday to knit with a friend and ended up finishing and blocking it today! I started this in October 2025, so it feels great to have this off the needles finally. I need to find some good buttons for this one and weave in a few ends, but I'm excited to have this one ready for fall. #knitting

Pretty obsessed with the vintage buttons I was recommended at the button shop today for my Catkin Shawl. I'm so excited to attach them today, and finish this piece! I did realize I accidentally skipped making three button holes, so we're going to have to fudge this a little bit. #knitting

I had so much fun gripping and ripping a few packs at the bar as fodder for an RPG I'm playing and then playing kitchen table magic with them immediately. I won both games!

Played a Blood on the Clocktower script as the Atheist, and I can't say I was a fan of that role. Maybe I was too tired or something to build worlds, but having the storyteller break the game as many times as they wanted was mind melting. I'm ready to go home, refuel, and hydrate. Social deduction games always take everything out of me.

Finished a superwash baby cardigan in 9.5 hours for my friend who is having a baby expected to arrive on my birthday! The pattern is free on Ravelry: Newborn Vertebrae by Kelly van Niekerk. I need to finish a matching hat and a pair of socks out of the same yarn skein before I send this off. #knitting

Where does one go that isn't Target (still boycotting) for a card and gift wrapping supplies in the US? I don't think the post office will have gift wrapping, but they might have a generic card or two? I want to wrap up my knitting baby set in something presentable and mailable.

I finished knitting this newborn outfit for my friend's baby, and all the items only took 3 days to make! It also only took one skein to knit everything, and I still have 10 grams left over, so it was an extremely economical gift. I spent more on gift wrapping, a card, and postage than yarn somehow. #knitting

I met so many wonderful people and tested loads of inks and pens at my local Pelikan Hub. Check out my huge haul of free inks from our hub's destash table. I also won a brand new broad nibbed Pelikan M200 Cherry Blossom fountain pen from the free event raffle! I'm still in shock that I won because I never win prizes much less a grand one worth more than $200. I've never attended a hub before nor owned a Pelikan pen, so I'm over the moon! #NewPenDay #FountainPens #...
