  🌍 Did you know Google Chrome quietly downloads a 4 GB AI model onto your device — without asking? It's called Gemini Nano. It appears in a folder named "OptGuideOnDeviceModel" (deliberately cryptic). If you delete it, Chrome downloads it again. The only way to stop it is digging into hidden settings. Now multiply 4 GB × hundreds of millions of devices. Researchers estimate up to 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ — just to deliver a file you never asked for. No checkbox. No dialog...
