Every Science Fiction novel is about politics, whether or not the author intended that. Science Fiction is the genre of ideas, and politics are ideas. #Science #ScienceFiction

Woah! Delightful reader surprises!!! I recently fell in love with Lisa See's historical novels. I picked up Peony in Love from Book Loft (Columbus, OH) and tore through nearly a quarter of it before realizing this copy is signed!!!! I'm so distracted by this serendipitous find that it's taking me a hot minute to calm down ad resume reading. :) #Swoon #Fandom #Reading #books #bookstodon

"It was comical to imagine: her rallying a band of mechanics to storm the upper levels and right a wrong And then what? Was *this* the uprising they had learned about as children? Was this how it began? One silly woman with fire in her blood stirring the hearts of a legion of fools?" from Wool, by Hugh Howey. #rebellion Yes! Be that silly woman!!! #Reading #books #bookstodon

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/national-native-news/id284285309?i=1000752911357 National Native News reports that the Clown Show has plans to ... guess what! That's right: change the narrative of The Battle of Little Bighorn. "Ahead of commemorative events planned in late June near Crow Agency, Mont. are reports that the National Park Service (NPS) is removing signs sharing the Native perspective on the battle." (edited to add quote)

Lovely, peaceful morning. This is why I fight for our #cleanwater, #cleanair #wetlands. There are more than ten different #birds out here, according to Merlin. Maybe even Hooded Merganser, which is more likely, as this is Northern Ohio wetland area. #silentsunday (a day early)

#silentsunday Brick-lined streets of German Village, an historical neighborhood of Columbus Ohio. I got to meet my friend for the Colmbus Museum of Art, we had a sandwich at Katzinger's, and then I went to the Book Loft and spoke to no one for an entire hour. Good day!
