> Does that device need to be online? Do we need to be connected in this context? Does this process have to happen on this platform? Does this need to be done with software at all? The cost/benefit analysis for many actions and routines is likely to shift, maybe just for a while, or maybe for a long time to come. https://www.anildash.com/2026/04/10/y2k-2.0-ai-security/ #AI #security

Every time there has been a negotiation and even an agreement with Iran it has been sabotaged by the United States. Trump is the epitome of bad faith negotiation. Trump only wants complete defeat. So there will be no ceasefire, no peace agreement. The war will resume in full shortly. #USA #iran #war #peace

Yes, it's abhorrent. But also it's about moving billions of dollars around without actually producing anything useful. Remember this example next time you hear someone solemnly pronounce that capitalism allocates resources optimally. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/apr/11/polymarket-gamblers-betting-iran-war-ukraine-news-truth #gambling #easymoney #polymarket

“We have the electricity that is produced in Europe, from renewables and from nuclear. And therefore our strategy to decarbonise has not only been confirmed in the last years, but is growing in importance day by day. And our objective is very clear. We need to scale up the homegrown, affordable, reliable energy,” von der Leyen said. And so does Canada. Talk about nation building, Mr Carney. #Iran #europe #Canada #eu #energy #renewables

Negotiations are part of warfare. They are one more tactic. I remember the endless negotiations during the Vietnam war, which only ended when the Americans were forced to flee. #war #peace #Iran #lebanon

The Guardian reports that > More than two-thirds of American farmers say they cannot afford to purchase enough fertiliser to get through the year, according to a new survey from the American Farm Bureau Federation. Good. For my part I will continue to boycott American produce. Unlike them, I don't get to vote in the United States. #war #Iran #israel #lebanon #gaza

Iran already has a nuclear weapon, and they have already deployed it. It's called the Strait of Hormuz. #iran #nuclearWeapons
