    Hi @gsuberland I hope you don&amp;#39;t mind the ping. I have read your blog post on 100 nF decoupling caps and am unsure about a situation like this. It&amp;#39;s not really the big-little case, the cap actually serves a purpose (decoupling the analog circuitry). (IC is SiC431 by Vishay https://www.vishay.com/docs/74589/sic431.pdf)

    Power supply design question: I want to turn 20V/5A (USB PD) into 1.2V, 1.8V, 3.3V and 5V voltage rails. Having 2 stages is more efficient than direct conversion, so I plan to generate 5V/20A and then derive the other values from that. However I am unsure about the output caps. The 5V output rail should have around 300uF and I am currently designing the 1.2V/20A rail. The calculator tells me I should use a 150uF capacitor at the input. Can I just rely on the output caps or do I have to add that?
