  🔊 "Platform 17, ICE to Basel SBB, Karlsruhe, Hamburg Hbf, departure at 7:59" My summer holidays start as many times with a northbound ICE train. It was supposed to be less bonkers than my other rail trips, but there are many track works that have been planned afterwards, so we'll see. Get inspired by how I get myself into 🏖️ #StrandbyMode.

  My photo app constantly reminds me of my three-month rail trip last summer. I travelled through 14 🇪🇺 European countries by train, bus and ferry to discover some #BlankSpots on my map.   New 🚂 #rail diagram on larstransportmaps: #Ireland ☘️ I created this transport diagram, which captures the Irish rail network in the form of a custom-sized, 36°-angled structure. This allows for an axis-symmetrical representation of the main line along the east coast near Dublin, as well as the west-bound lines. The great variety in density throughout the island and the bilingual station names meant that mapping the Irish rail network was no trivial task. 👉 https://larstransportmaps.com/2026/06/1...

  Finally, another updated diagram on my blog: the 2026 🇩🇰 #Denmark 🚂 rail diagram with a slightly modified layout. It is one of my oldest diagrams. It is also the one in which the sea is most dominant.   Grüezi and Moin from Zurich! Another international 🇨🇭🇩🇪 rail trip awaits (or rather, awaited — I'm always a late). We'll see what this thread will be about exactly, as there is less rail travel involved in the programme. One thing is certain though: I will be talking about the German legs that I normally skip reporting on. #AmRumReisen starts with the ICE 200 from Zurich to Hamburg. It's a comfortably uneventful trip with a maximum delay of six minutes.
