  Got my flu vax through work and it was done by a different clinic to previous years… they don’t give lollipops ☹️

  I’m off to see Suzy/Eddie Izzard tonight. They were meant to be here late last year, but had to reschedule so I’m very excited the day has finally arrived 😃

  Woke up around 2am feeling so cold that even my toes were frosty. Tried adding a bathrobe to save turning lights on and digging around for blankets, but that didn’t work, so blankets are now on and waiting to warm up 🥶

  Oh dear… ordered a grocery delivery and it looks like a bag was misplaced. It’s great that a refund was easily made, but it held some crucial items that I was going to use for dinner…

  I’m really enjoying The Brokenwood Mysteries… it’s a (slightly grittier than Midsomer Murders) police drama series from New Zealand with a great soundtrack

  Had a stressful day at work, laughed ‘til I couldn’t breathe at David O’Doherty’s show and then we hung out with him for a bit afterwards… now I’m so amped I can’t sleep…

  My laptop is really struggling this afternoon… perhaps it knows it’s being replaced in a couple of weeks and staging a protest…

  Top service at my local Australia Post this morning. I was picking up a couple of new travel cases that I’d be transporting home on public transport. They were boxed and would’ve been awkward to carry, and I mentioned in passing that I was going outside to unbox them. The lady immediately offered to help me cut open and dispose of the boxes. What a flippin’ legend!!! 😃

  I felt so discombobulated this morning and thought it was Thursday. While I’m very pleased it’s actually Friday, I’m a bit miffed about missing my semi usual market breakfast and could really have done with an extra day to tick a few more tasks off my to do list… Now I shall enjoy the delightful cooler weather and curl up in my doona cocoon ☺️

  This is mega week… Three days of taking notes in award judging meetings. Good stuff, but melts the mind. Four evenings filled with Kyla Cobbler (Irish comedian), Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra (jaaaazz bébé), The Last Ship (Sting’s musical) and The Girls from Greece: The Big Cafe Tour (a jazz singer & an opera singer from Greek origins singing songs and looking back at their ancestors who moved to Australia and ran cafes back in the day)… Thankfully, past me booked a...
