Its another me. Still figuring out what I'm doing, but I'm trying to just be me behind cute art of a moth. I was making a gallery website and barely know what I'm doing, but that's on hold. Learning to fly. I'm sure there's others.

The crap weather continues. I did short field landing practice today.

A bunch of keys only sort of work on one of my devices, so if I ever start separating contractions, I am probably typing it on the device where the apostrophe key is broken. Backspace and enter are too. Yay for delete.

Due to construction at my airport, and lacking an endorsement for going anywhere else, I was not able to get a solo flight in this week.

The dewpoint dropped below 70. It wasn't horrible outside for my walk.

Finally got my second cross country in. The plane did not have a push to talk for the left seat, so I didn't get to make radio calls. Overall it went well.

I don't know if I missed it in a previous newsletter, but this week is apparently Tom Scott's last newsletter.

After not having it for years, I have started drinking seltzer water again. I don't know why I stopped.

In the binary of did I go flying today, the answer is yes. It was supposed to be a 50 mile cross country, it ended up being a return to the airport.

Tried to sneak in a cross-country yesterday. Pretty much any airport other than my destination would have been possible at the time I went. I did ground reference instead. It was hot and bumpy. Good lesson, uncomfortable flight.

The anthro version of the moth I've been drawing is named Ada (computer bug, get it?). Their design was intentionally gender ambiguous. I feel like I like drawings of them that I do and other do that lean a little more fem featured more than ones that lean more masc featured. I'm not the biggest fan of that language and characterization, but its the best words I got at this time. Anyway, enjoy this sketch of Ada wearing a skirt and a short t-shirt.

A neighbors cat seems to like hanging out on my porch. I don't know if its because of rodents that live around or just because. This cat also runs whenever I get near.

Made some pepper quick bread. Used 2 habaneros and 1 jalapeño. I think it was finally spicy enough for me.

If you like to look at plane trackers. Oshkosh is always busy this week.

One of the reasons I'm perusing being a pilot is I've lost most motivation to do tech related things. Professionally my prospects are DoD, big tech, or AI and I really have no drive for any of them. I had my website I was working on but with credit card companies being what they are I can't see how I could make it work reliably financially. My only personal project I've thought of might be a protogen head with live eyes and mouth, but I'm not sure what I&a...

I was surprised it took this long, but the flight school just added an additional fuel charge to the normal rental rate.

Tip for people who work with planes, don't retract the landing gear while the plane is at the gate.

It starting to look better. I might do a few more rows and close this one up. Biggest changes needed so far are some extra 1:1 rows on the rise, and a longer muzzle.

I don't care what you are arguing about, if you use the word "children" I tune you out. Children are people. I assume the word "children" signals a bad faith argument and a cheap trick to elicit a strong emotional response.
