  @xan@xantronix.social for my org, there is no mandate to use AI. A lot of government and government adjacent (I am at the municipal level) jobs still treat AI as high risk. My boss id vibe coding a few configs and we are going to do a full team teardown of those configs as we have critical infrastructure and that has to be right. There is no room for errors.

  Nothing quite like working Municipal. Is it underpaid? Absolutely. Is the team too small? Hell yes. Does my director assign me projects so I can tell them "No" and we laugh about it later? Yes. Also my team values my work, I work on cool problems, my work impacts about 500k or more people a day. My systems protect in excess of 1.5 million people. My benefits are more affordable, I have show cause employment, and I feel safe at work. I had to pick my battles. I think I did well.

  I swear, what is a good Mastadon Client for Android? Like, trustworthy, no AI, actually has notifications, and preferably no ads?
