    I think long term, glibc needs to be adapted to be more like Window&#39;s libc - Specifically, able to load older versions of itself based on what the binary asks for, basically maintaining the API surface. That&#39;s why software compiled targeting Windows 95 can work on Windows 11. glibc&#39;s current architecture is hostile to software that is closed source, or for software where the source code has been lost somehow, but but binaries continue to exist.
