  I think long term, glibc needs to be adapted to be more like Window's libc - Specifically, able to load older versions of itself based on what the binary asks for, basically maintaining the API surface. That's why software compiled targeting Windows 95 can work on Windows 11. glibc's current architecture is hostile to software that is closed source, or for software where the source code has been lost somehow, but but binaries continue to exist. I'm not an open source absolutis...
