Visual editing is coming along quite nicely in Shaper! The canvas is becoming more and more interactive! Currently working with gnome designers and gtk devs to craft this into a long lasting and useful tool for the gnome stack Support me: https://ko-fi.com/kolunmi

Things are happening! mclasen was able to separate shaper (gtk's core svg gpa editor tool) from the main gtk codebase, so we decided I should focus my svg editor efforts there! Still wip, but here is the pr: https://gitlab.gnome.org/matthiasc/shaper/-/merge_requests/2 My goal is to further enable gnome designers (or any designer that uses gtk!) to make animated icons using gtk's new svg tooling. Support me here if you'd like https://ko-fi.com/kolunmi 🥺

More progress on the svg editor! Right now it is called "Rewire" btw. The svg document is finally integrated with the canvas editor, so you can use it along with the text editor to make changes. The actions you take in the canvas editor also sync with the text view, meaning you can undo and redo actions as though you had pasted or deleted text. #gnome #svg #gtk

Gnome hatred very often has similar energy to prejudice towards marginalized groups. You have an entity that you strongly dislike the aesthetic of which is popular apparently only because corporations are pushing it, something that has “infiltrated the space” and you blame every single problem you have on it and want it gone. If you don’t like gnome this doesn’t necessarily mean you fall into this category, everyone has preferences, but in general I think there is very clear reason why the desk...

I’m irreparably emotionally scarred and write a lot of code. Please help me find a job oh god, just so I can exist in peace and never have to risk abandonment again. Am I doing this right? #getfedihired

Adding the optional pride theming to bazaar was the best thing I could’ve done to secure a worthwhile user base. Sure, it looks fucking awesome, but it also does this amazing thing where loser chuds don’t use my program. It’s a feature Besides the initial outcry and some delusional rando emailing me an essay about how I’m the worst person ever for “forcing trans people to out themselves,” the amount of complaints/trolling related to the pride flags has dropped to basically 0. Lesson: don’t give...

Hey I’m the developer of the Bazaar App Store! I absolutely love making Bazaar, it brings me a lot of joy. :) Unfortunately I’m in a bad financial situation right now and my only source of income is from donations. I absolutely hate asking for money but it’s been kind of rough for me lately, so if you happen to enjoy my work and can comfortably toss me a coin, I would be extremely appreciative: https://ko-fi.com/kolunmi Thanks so much!! Boosts appreciated <3
