  The protector 2005 (or Tom yum goong 1 or CHANG GU YU NAI?!) Another dvd borrowed from the CLP library. Honesty feels like I miss Sydney again. Compared to Ong-Bak the plot is much more thick but mainly you are here to watch action scenes. There's some CGI but given the time +Thai movie, it wasn't too distracting. This dvd got the deleted scene in the bath tub too. The character I have problem with is Johny and police Sergeant Mark. Plot kinda just stop developing on them.

  I don't think this is just me. They really did modified the effective green time for fifth Ave to be longer to the point that 15 s crosswalk become 30 s or more. This means it's harder to cross 5th avenue though.

  Sidewalk with uneven or lifted concrete is a problem. But the condition of the surface isn’t as critical as the lack of space to begin with. 2 people w wheelchairs should be able to pass each other comfortably. My shoes might catch on a raised slab, but does that means if we have money we just repaving the entire sidewalk instead of reallocating space, like removing a parking lane to make it wider? Expanding sidewalks should take priority.

  If you are someone who cares about #urbanism, you probably have heard about the Leading Pedestrian Intervals (LPIs), which means to give pedestrians a 3–7 second head start before vehicles get a green light in the paralleled direction. What you might not think about is the streetlight interaction with LPI.
