You heard the weirdo.” <br />~ Zaphod Beeblebrox, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (radio play, season 2, episode 6, written by Douglas Adams)</p><p>I’m deeply saddened that Zaphod is so well embodied by the 45th/47th President of the USA, but there&#39;s no questioning Douglas Adams insight when it comes to “truth.” </p><p>I’d say I’m neurodivergent, but a doctor corrected me every time I said I was “weird” because there is no normal when it comes to neurology, so we’re all divergent.</p>

    I haven&amp;#39;t watched a #GordonRamsey show in a long time because, well, frankly he&amp;#39;s kind of a dick and I&amp;#39;m just not into the asshole artiste thing. So I&amp;#39;m not even sure why I tuned in to #NextLevelChef season 5, but I&amp;#39;m glad I did. Kinder, gentler Gordon is fun to watch.

    This says a lot about Philly: no one expects *both* of those teams to get far enough into their respective playoffs for this to be a problem, and oh, hell no, Bruce, we&amp;#39;re watching the Flyers and the Sixers.

    Got a message looking for voice actors. OK, I can act with my voice, I&amp;#39;ll check this out. Turns out they want someone who speaks “Chinese” to train AI. Even if I spoke whatever language they want (presumably one spoken primarily by Chinese people), training AI is not acting.

    AI hype is creeping into the audio post world. One tool is a noise-reduction tool which, as far as I can tell, the only *useful* tools I&amp;#39;ve seen that are called AI probably have some machine learning in them and are variations on tools we&amp;#39;ve had since before this hype cycle. I can&amp;#39;t see what either old or new has to do with LLMs, though, which seems to be what the hype is.
