<p>I&#39;m a long time techie based in Raleigh, North Carolina (USA) who has been programming professionally (e.g. getting paid for it) since I was in my teens. I&#39;m an IBM Fellow and Vice President, and the CTO for the IBM CIO Office. I&#39;m a book author (10 so far, working on the 11th) of books on Cloud, Patterns, Object Oriented Programming and various and sundry of IBM&#39;s software products. I&#39;ve written papers and articles for a variety of venues (commercial and academic) over the last 30 years.</p>
