  Submissions are live for #desertbusforHope craftalong and I am still not sure on what design to go with. I initially decided on the chevron pattern in some variation of The Panalyst colors but over the weekend inspiration struck and I came up with the Silksong idea below. What do you guys think?   I think this is it. It’s very much simplified and I talked myself down from doing a dithered silk explosion effect like when you die in the game because there’s no way I’d reach the deadline if I did. I’ll be submitting my application sometime tomorrow but I won’t know until next month sometime if I’m accepted so I’m open to feedback for the time being. #crochet #tapestrycrochet #fiberarts #silksong

  Look at how precious this is!!! I’ve never participated in a gift exchange like this before and I was so nervous about whether my partner would like what I made them and so excited to see what they made me and I never could have expected something so stunning 😭💖 it’s a Spaghetti Cat dish and the most gorgeous yarn bowl with some of my favorite characters 🥹

  I was coerced into painting a mural this Saturday. I have never done a mural before and am knot prepared at all. Any tips on what kind of paint I need to track down?

  I think the mural turned out okay and turned out ok considering I only had, like, 48 hours to throw together. I had about 6 hours to paint it. It was a good time, a beautiful blustery day, and I technically got paid to deface public property. My nephew put all the little flowers on the hydrangeas 💖 #art #bird #painting

  @Jaden3@mastodon.social I’m all in on the greens myself if they’re made right, but I’m also a sucker for the old folks food like carrot and raisin salad and the stuff with pistachio pudding, walnuts, and marshmallows. It’s kind of gross but not inedible and I feel like it’s important to have the less desirable dishes to make the good stuff shine even brighter. A good smoked turkey or glazed ham is made so much better when compared to a mouthful of a sweet and vinegary abomination.

  Feeling blessed despite everything else right now. We feed and vet Spaghetti the cat who was abandoned by our neighbors and leave a little extra out for others who might be hungry. A few months ago a feral pregnant female showed up and over time we managed to gain her trust and she finally felt safe enough to bring the kittens by. We plan to get them vetted and socialized once they’re a little older.

  Trusting the process hard here. The harlequin pattern is meant to be used in much larger and less delicate applications but I feel like once I get the border on and wash/block it things will work out. #crochet #ghiblivibes #fiberarts #fanart #wip

  I’ve made a lot more progress but I didn’t feel like detangling my bobbins to get another picture. I’m not upset with it but I don’t love it yet. I think the trim will finally solidify it for me, or just looks a bit messy at the moment. #crochet #fiberarts #crafting

  The center of the scarf is only two colors so I’m making a lot of progress! It’s a lot longer than anticipated because I had to go up from a 3.75mm to a 5mm hook to make the stitches line up with the harlequin bit. It’s finally starting to look like something. Still trying to decide if I’m going to do the whole thing in one piece and add on the diamonds by sewing or do it in two halves. #crochet #tapestry #fiberarts #crafts

  I haven’t been able to spend as much time with this project as I’d like but I was able to sit down with it this evening and wanted to share my progress. Side A is complete and assuming the rest of the week works out like the start of it has I should be able to complete side B before Friday and put all the finishing touches on this weekend. #crochet #fiberarts #fanart #flowers

  It is complete and survived the wash! I was worried about the tassels. This is my first time making them and it felt too easy. The harlequin pieces aren't as solid as I would like and were a nightmare to sew together and line up but it was worth it. #crochet #FiberArt #FanArt #HowlsMovingCastle
