i don't like gnome/gtk/libadwaita ui components, they are extremely unpleasant to use, but i especially do not like the gnome/gtk file selector, it is almost unusable, so normally, when using firefox or a firefox-based browser, i change these settings in about:config shown in the screenshot to force the browser to use the xdg desktop portal file selector, which is usually either the lxqt one or the kde one depending on which desktop i'm using however, i recently updated to librewolf 152...

is there a way i could have a function similar to wl_display_dispatch which also polls multiple sockets at the same time, interrupting whenever there is activity over another socket, without using another thread and signalling? or better yet, is there a way to tell which file descriptor a libwayland client is using, without having to manually connect to the wayland display from the start? i could have an endless loop of doing wl_display_roundtrip and doing a non-blocking poll with a small delay...
