#3GoodThings over the course of a very crappy few days: - Met a nice man at my local branch of the dole police. It was his 2nd day on the job, and he was very keen to take on the challenge of finding an employer to fit my particular range of interests. He so charmed me that I did not rain on his parade. - Met a lovely tech support lady at the library who was not at all fazed by my vintage ThinkPad collection. Couldn't solve my problem with their network, but offered some good hypotheses. 1...

Usually that is after years of agonising (not "questioning") over it. The people we are closest to are often the last to know, because that is where rejection is most costly. Nobody relishes the thought of being dismissed as mentally ill, or losing people who are very dear.

The show I did for #3CR&#39;s Trans Day of Audibility yesterday (plus all the others in the lineup) is now available for download: https://www.3cr.org.au/tdoa2026. It features such Fediverse luminaries as @Winter, @miriamrobern, @Dawn, and @kat Fedizens of long standing may notice a stylistic similarity with a podcast @tregeagle and I used to do about 15 years ago. That&#39;s not coincidental. I may have changed a bit in the intervening years, but I&#39;ve hardly matured at all....
