  Happy Easter! I finished this painting today of Gilbert, a rescue bunny from Pumpkin's Acres Rabbit Rescue. I painted him in a spring woodland setting with a willow branch, trout lilies and a song sparrow.   I wanted to introduce my tiny friend Ed! He's a dwarf hamster and we adopted him from the Humane Society. His Mom was surrendered to the shelter pregnant and he was born in a foster home. We adopted him when he was 1 month old. His birthday is April 25th. He loves sand, his wheel, broccoli, tofu, sunflower seeds, flax, digging holes and sleeping in his mushroom house or multi chamber hide. He keeps mostly nocturnal hours and starts his day around 11pm.
