To enable simultaneous multithreading (SMT) on #OpenBSD with the new hw.blockcpu sysctl remove the &#39;S&#39;, e.g.: # sysctl hw.blockcpu hw.blockcpu=SL # sysctl hw.blockcpu=L Keep the security implications in mind when enabling SMT.
