  I don't wanna scare any app developers from publishing on #linux of course. The way it works is they'll ship a 5 year old version of the thing and then tell the users that breaking your software is a refined skill.   In kubernetes someone named "The Harbringer of Deprecation" keeps the ecosystem healthy. If you stay on a deprecated piece of kit like nginx-ingress it's on YOU to pay for the fork, spend super expensive developer time, or pay an organization to sell your tech debt back to you.   Not that I'm keeping score (I totally am) but I think #Aurora #linux is proof that getting modern infrastructure people involved in the desktop is a good idea. Exhibit A: Aurora exists. They made that. People dig it. And even if you don't dig it usually it's a payload decision (you don't like Bazaar or whatever) and not an infrastructure one. Exhibit B: It has a following and it's bringing more people into KDE. And my evidence there is the Aurora team...

  I am totally melting this strix halo. I'm using this tool to run a memory system locally. I can even send the local model to do stuff as a subagent. And then someday, completely local. That makes sense to me, this is just the AI version of "hybrid cloud".
