A friend sold his older Bambu printer and mentioned an AMS that was half broken, so I asked for it. It's compatible with the A1, just needs a $35 hub. So I also bought bigger + smaller hot-ends + a cool build plate (works at lower temps, saving energy + heat-up time)

Looking at ways to motorise curtains and I want to do a bunch, so $100 per system is too expensive. Really annoying that many solutions are a whole system or weird robots. I'm sure I'll find a retrofit system somewhere

Finally got around to finishing the stupid cardboard pelmet idea from last year. They don't look amazing, but it gave me a better idea of how proper ones would be constructed and measurements to account for. Next phase is to make them look a bit better by covering them with the old curtains

Gemini really said "I'm sending this text to [specific person]" and then sent it to a number straight out of a tv show. I was praising it the other week and now it's being dumb as hell!

Winget is close to being a passable package manager, but by default it's slow because it doesn't prompt once for admin mode, and doesn't download in parallel, let alone install in parallel (I know that would be a massive issue on Windows). Good thing that Uniget exists and solves most of these issues

The part to make the AMS work on the A1 arrived yesterday, so I cleaned the feeders today, and got all 4 of them to work! Printed off these Lego bricks, which definitely don't have the right tolerances lol

Was tempted to get takeaway after Woolworths messed up my order and skipped all the meals I ordered. They called me just as I was staring at 2 bags of spinach from someone else's order. Ended up just getting 2 frozen meals from a convenience store

Started recharging the desiccant my friend had in the AMS, and it works! So far it's dropped the humidity from 38% to 20% with just one box replaced. Was honestly expecting I'd mess it up somehow #3dprinting

Spent way too much time last evening trying to work out why ctrl+h in the VSCode Power would send ctrl+backspace instead of just backspace. My normal Powershell doesn't do it, and neither did any of the other terminals. Had to set a custom setting in Keyboard Manager, but that means I can't use it for anything else

I wish Microsoft would just reach a stable baseline with FSLogix without needing reg key tweaking and constant patching. I get that roaming profiles can be a challenge due to file locks and networking issues, but you've had decades to refine this!

While sorting my cupboards today I came across a funnel, which would've been useful for pouring the desiccant. It's a little too narrow though, so I'll still print one

Realised that the beginner maker's kit from Bambu includes a 030 DC motor + AAA battery contacts, so I printed off a battery holder. Now I just need to print off something to attach the motor to

In an attempt to reuse an old glue stick, I've created the worst looking glue by adding water and applying heat. If I'd come across a video about leaving water in the tube first, I'd have done that instead. Once it cools down it should work anyway
