  Ik denk dat ik 15 was toen ik voor het eerst bij een vriendje thuis een #algoritme zag; dat was dit algoritme. Ik vond het magisch. Via omzwervingen uiteindelijk informatica gestudeerd (daar had ik voordat ik uit huis ging ook nog nooit van gehoord). Ik vind het nog steeds magisch, alhoewel ik ondertussen ook wel heb gezien dat je alle mooie dingen ook hartstikke lelijk kan gebruiken. Daar heb ik ook een tijdje aan meegewerkt, mea culpa. Weet niet zo goed wat ik ermee wil zeggen.

  Vandaag mijn eerste social.overheid.nl online gebruikersbijeenkomst gedaan. Toch altijd beetje spannend of alles goed gaat, maar ging allemaal top. Goede opkomst, interessante presentaties en goede discussie. Afgesproken om hashtag #SocialOverheidNL te gaan gebruiken voor updates en discussies over de ontwikkelingen rondom Mastodon in de overheid.

  First day of the #NOAW #unconference was cool - great presentations, nice discussions, lots of ideas, and kind and inspiring people. Some takeaways for me: reset to the non-enshitified web, take it from there. Also: Fediverse is a culture, not a technology. And: lots of work to do and fun to be had, rebuilding the web we always wanted, guided by public values instead of money. Looking forward to tomorrow.

  Heading home after the second day on #NOAW #Fediverse #unconferenfe Love the fact that this community is so very open to innovation and creating different spaces online that support other ways of interaction, self-organization and self-expression, where this room is getting smaller and smaller everywhere else. In that sense, it is a free haven for creative thinking and tinkering, an online breeding ground for the open web. Thanks everyone!
