Done my prep for tomorrow's session, created new content, now snacking in my Canberra hotel before going out for a later dinner.

The Victorian Labor Party doesn't seem to understand that it isn't the leadership that will lose the next state election, but rather the appearance of disunity. Worse still, it will likely mean they lose to One Nation. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07-26/victoria-premier-jacinta-allan-leadership-challenge/106960114

Good luck on fuel security. While the Orange Chaos Monkey is in the Colorless Abode, then the likelihood of any kind of security is challenged. #Insiders

A heat pump dryer is a thing of beauty. No steam, no heat, ridiculously efficient from an energy perspective, and makes the weather totally irrelevant. I โค๏ธ mine.

This is brilliant news. I would be happy for feral cats to be entirely culled to favour our little devils. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-06-28/cat-trapping-northern-tasmania-devil-population-increase/106813282

    Stunning red dawn in Melbourne

First leg of the journey home. In the carriage and seated with 2 mins to spare. Glen Waverley station looks rather different even from a week ago.

Second leg of the trip. Airport is apparently a popular destination this arvo.

Back at the Qantas Club. Priorities are food and wine.

Watching the inbound aircraft coming into the gate on flightaware and hearing the announcements saying "all passengers are disembarking" and saying, "bullshit". However, the announcements have also said that other flights are delayed because there were "birds in the engine". So there's that.

FINALLY boarded my flight. Ages before we will depart because: overhead locker Tetris and stupid people.

Landed safely but not at home. Back in Melbourne due to fog in Launceston. It's going to be a long night. *Sigh*

Back at the Qantas Club for coffee.

Boarded my replacement flight. Let's hope I get home this time.

Landed. At the right place. Thank goodness.

Last leg of a very long journey home.

Amidst the renovations, and in spite of all the dust, it's so good to be home.

Trump says "we can't allow another nation to extort money from us" in relation to the Strait of Hormuz. The same person who absolutely is extorting the rest of the world through tariffs. I mean: .....????

Taylor is coming across as genuinely ignorant on almost every topic on #Insiders. It's deeply concerning that the leader of the opposition could really be that uninformed.

Back from a nearly 10km walk, involving some steep inclines. I always feel better after that kind of exercise. I can now put my feet up on the couch and watch TV all afternoon and evening with no sense of guilt.

I listen to AI podcasts all the time. I listen to several tech bro podcasts because it's important to listen to alternative perspectives. The absolutely shameless plugging of the current political regime in the US is curiously countered by comments which are clearly acknowledging the bat shit crazy acts of the current administration. These people are 100% skating on the thin ice of ignorance - understanding how to ingratiate themselves far enough that they can continue to do whatever the...
