  Conlang creator invents language with ultra-minimalist vocabulary list that lends itself to broad unavoidable semantic ambiguities by design, then promotes it as a method for achieving flexibility in thought. A decade later, said creator has a psychotic break and messy public meltdown. I’m sure it’s just coincidence, but I can’t help seeing a parallel to semantic ablation in LLMs and LLM psychosis.

  @neauoire Elevated levels of CO₂ are bad for cognition, but the sustained levels where you start to see cognitive effects (above around 1200 ppm) would be historically absolutely unprecedented and would result in catastrophic global warming (RCP8.5-level, 3.0℃ to 12.6℃. So, we’ll have to find some other way to inflict massive cognitive damage on ourselves—preferably more than one way.
