  observing how many i386 binaries are still running on my Windows system and sort of gobsmacked at how there is still not a fat binary format for this platform, other than Arm64X which I believe is the output of a profane ritual like I understand that PE is not really amenable to this, and it would be preferable to have introduced an alternative 20 years ago, but the second-best time to publish such a format is today

  Another on my list of small niceties in macOS 27 beta: we have decoupled Show Borders from Increase Contrast for apps using the new design. This is great for people who just want a little more edge definition on UI elements, but don't want to jump all the way to the weighty color changes of Increase Contrast.

  After verifying that it can do all of the expected normal car things, I asked the new Rivian Assistant to “write me a python script that reverses a string” and it proceeded to recite the contents of a python script over text-to-speech. 10/10 no notes.
