Public art at Seattle Fire Department Station 9: https://seattlearts.emuseum.com/objects/2839/nine-lives "Nine Lives", a black cat ever ready to rescue those in its district from fire, a riff on the Eveready Batteries 9-Lives cat. Under the cat is ANOTHER public artwork, the dot codes punched out by the historic block by block fire alarms, run by clockwork-driven telegraph signals. When the alarm is pulled, the spring unwinds, and the dot code is sent to the fire station.

Planted out the tomato seedlings into their outdoor containers after dark. Air and soil very warm still.

The tiling pattern in the new sidewalk seems to art more than structure, the brushed concrete squares matching the pebbled tiles of the older sidewalk. Narrower runs of the new pavement along expanded tree wells are brushed but not tile-patterned.
