  So we’re doing #introductions now. Former academic scientist: Manchester, Oxford, Stanford, lecturer/ researcher at Reading, UK (chemical physics). Quit to join Shell (no, I never met Liz Truss). Worked for Shell for 11 years before leaving to set up my own management consultancy/training practice. Retired in 2017 and turned full-time to my hobby since leaving academia: writing popular science books, mostly on physics, history, and philosophy. More at www.jimbaggott.com
