@marcoarment I am going tomorrow with my 6 and 9 year old kids. We breathe Minecraft over here in our family. First time my kids will be in a cinema though so it could go either way :)

Could Apple make Siri understand whispering? When you're in bed at night, everything is quiet, whispering "Hey Siri set an alarm for 7:30" and the iPhone on your night stand blares out: "YOUR ALARM HAS BEEN SET FOR SEVEN THIRTY AM." 🤦♂️

@siracusa someone tell her about Apple’s World Travel Adapter Kit please. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD837AM/A/apple-world-travel-adapter-kit

@laurentgiroud @siracusa No she’s not. That looks like a European Apple plug stuck into a generic adapter stuck into the wall socket. The Australian Apple one https://store.storeimages.cdn-apple.com/1/as-images.apple.com/is/MD837_AV4?wid=1144&hei=1144&fmt=jpeg&qlt=90&.v=TFU3MlpiSU9YajV1d1UrSG1DU2hhMVZya2lKWlJmUEwrYndWOTJiVWJWQUYwVmtIbGRkS25RMVpBRlo0bk5DUW9SZDh0M05kekNJVTBiL1pCVkxGV1E looks like that.

Is it not strange that we cannot select multiple contacts in macOS Contacts.app and send them a text? What use are lists in the app when the collection of people in it cannot be contacted in one action?

I wonder if the Belgian apps itsme, BNP’s Easy Banking and MyGov.be all use some same version of a library because the all crash on iOS 26 in a similar way. Every other app seems to work… but of course these three important ones do not.

@marcoarment Alan Dye sucks. He is ruining it, and has been for years. Now it seems he can do what he wants without being kept in check. Nobody seems to question his decisions. Fact is: he is just not a good designer.

@marcoarment Tell me, what time is it? It is time for Alan Dye to go.

@marcoarment when I worked for a telco in Belgium we also had to implement these “retention offers” to show on unsubscribe pages. These are low and sleazy telco-type business practices, that Apple is now also resorting to. It is despicable.

@rmondello Could it be that whatever got fixed is in macOS 15.7.1 as well? Because Safari was truly a laggy mess in 15.7 on M1 Max MacBook Pro. Seconds of input delay in URL bar. I hope it is fixed.

@rmondello argh, too bad then. I had my hopes up! :)

@eurozerozero @rmondello Safari, typically very stable and nimble... has been an absolute disaster since version 26 indeed. Crashes every two days for me or so. I keep "reporting" it, and I hope 10s of thousands of others do too... it must be showing on Apple's radar for sure.

@gruber Two weeks ago a DPO came to give a GDPR lecture & quiz at my company... after a while the battery of her MacBook Air was getting low so she plugged in... but her laptop kept being sluggish and during the presentation eventually died. She didn't understand why because she plugged in. I explained to the small group of people that it was a 20W iPhone charger, and that she was sharing over MS Teams, which uses a lot of CPU. The charger couldn't deliver enough power s...
