Warning: I normally consider myself to be culturally and primarily an Irish national, but insult Manchester and I will go full Northerner on you.

Had a rough day of anxiety, but I managed to put up some shelves and reframe some pictures and memorabilia as displacement activity so it evened out sorta.

Thought experiment: What would a @steamdeck.com for Corporate clients look like? The Steam-Machine without the 'gamer' hardware. A Linux kernel stripped down to the hardware on that machine, a keyboard and mouse. No other USB support other than accessibility devices.

Removal of #NASFIC from the WSFS Consitution doesn't mean there can't be any more of them, it just means it won't be used as an excuse to ensure that WSFS committees are always dominated by North American appointees. I am unsure if this means that the current NASFIC appointees remain in post.

Imagine being so far up your own [REDACTED] that you think you should be recognised and lauded as a 'Foremost Expert' because you forced an LLM into Word as a new product feature no one wanted and people actively dislike.

Burnham is pulling money out of real science, and putting it into Fake AI. Why? Because it appears he's just a more charismatic version of Starmer. https://bsky.app/profile/astroroyalscot.bsky.social/post/3mrpp4w4mlk2b

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could monetise having a Microsoft Exec obsessed with trying to prove me wrong about LLMs on the internet?

We had a digital AI that could make decisions for executives in the 70s, and it only needed a nine volt battery! How's that for a ROI!

I would like to be able to sleep tonight. I did not sleep last night. Because I have hay fever bad enough to give me shakes. I have taken the good pain killers and they are only making me barely functional.

I just had a marketable product idea. A Scream Bucket. It's a bucket lined with foam inside and a lid, and when you really need to you just scream into it, then put the lid on.

@Graham_LRR Watching the last W+P, you might be interested in following @foone who singlehandedly does all the work reverse engineering the fonts out of games to make the DeathGenerator. Pretty sure a request for the Mr Blobby game DeathGenerator would require a hefty mental health endurance fee to their Ko-Fi!

Random memory of the day that came to mind unprompted: How I once responded to someone asking for an editorial check by saying "Gelled Eyed" did not mean "Icy Stare". And I got shouted at for an hour.

This is very much like when the "Long Island Tea Corp" changed it's name to "Long Blockchain" and pivoted to buying GPUs to sell people time on. They bought no GPUs, and ended up being investigated for insider trading by the SEC. Only this time around the SEC have been stood-down by Trump. https://bsky.app/profile/sfchronicle.com/post/3mjkdj6pcaj2t

Why did I just waste my time reading a newspaper article about 'annoying habits of Gen Z', where the writer focuses on things Millennials were doing, then ends it using slang from the 80s?
