RE: https://mastodon.social/@javbw/116431735815898373 @aleen Most rural “road stations” have a “Grandma’s craft corner” where the local grandmas sell their unique knitting and sewing projects. Occasionally it is Grandpa’s Woodshop corner, where carved or cut knickknacks are sold, next to the commercially packaged pickled vegetables, and mascot keychains. Two of the bench cushions were cheap for the effort (1500y 10$), but the 3-dimensional double-thick pink one was double the price (3500y 22$)...

@caseyliss What an exciting race - little vintage cars sliding and swerving around the track on a 20 minute timer - watching the mini keep attacking over and over really made for a great race! https://youtu.be/4FDoMAVKmC0

@hotdogsladies With your documentation of the fire sprinkler conglomeration, somehow this seems relavant. I had no idea that a) there were millions of recalled fire sprinkler heads out there and b) replacing them is kinda optional for landlords. [And c) there is a “fire alarm dude” out there]. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UObFrKFkk6Q

🏔️🤯🏔️“The Canadian Rockies were once part of Nevada, Ripped off and brought northward by the Tintina Fault.” Nick Zetner’s “Downtown”geology lectures, going over PNW faulting and geologic activity are Fantastic! Here, he explains to the lay public grand geologic concepts, including new work reinterpreting most of western North America as ripped & stacked slabs shoved 1300+km north for the past 124 million years, like the San Andreas on steroids. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YQtMBmS49Ew
