<p>A totally blind 40-something-year-old married woman with an adult child. Interests include reading, loom knitting needle knitting, MUDs MUCKs, and other games I can play on the PC or phone. Hard-copy Braille is my favorite way of reading, refreshable Braille with my phone or computer is next, and audio content like human-narrated or text-to-speech is OK when there's no alternative.</p>

I have so many books I can't decide what to stick with for long. I have switched between five today plus several podcasts. And speaking of podcasts, I don't know what's going on with Overcast. I tell it to play from oldest to newest and I set the filter for all, but it keeps jumping to the most recent one on the list

Soooooo I managed to corrupt NVDA. Twice. With my shiny code. When you tell it to check for speech, don&#39;t have it check as often as I did. It was checking so often NvDA c ouldn&#39;t do anything else. Woops! Well I recovered. Still gotta do work on it but this is a fascinating learning experience. #python Also I am working on seed stitch for my scarf. #knitting

Future-proofing your code is also vital, vital, vital. Is it possible to have a beta version of NVDA running alongside the previous stable version? For testing? I wish I could somehow knit code into projects so I could feel it and know what to do! Now I am getting downright whimsical. Yeah, i am liking that there aren&#39;t as many sounds on Fedra. I don&#39;t feel obligated to jump to it when I am multi-tasking, just when I feel like it.
