@rbreich the way to fund your school system is to have a properly functioning tax system. Stop voting for people who want to reduce taxes, and start voting for people who will tax more appropriately.

@danielbowen irresponsible to call for 10 minute services when the Caulfield to Westall section of the Cranbourne/Pakenham lines has train replacement buses 40 weeks of the year from 8:30pm to 1:30am along local residential roads. Fix the broken network first.

@danielbowen I'd prefer to see the Gippsland line become a free shuttle service to Pakenham. Would give them free access to Pakenham for shopping, nightlife, work etc, and free up peak hour services on the metro line. Would be cheaper to run as a free service than the existing service, and save people the money.

@briantrnn @danielbowen no one's told us why they are replacing trains on the newest section of track in Melbs. Caulfield to Westall.

@danielbowen @briantrnn if that were the case they'd only need to have buses from Oakleigh to Westall. No, it's not what you think it is.

@briantrnn @danielbowen Tunnel works stop at Sth Yarra. No need for replacement trains between Caulfield and Westall. I do know they are working on a crossing point near Oakleigh which explains the next few weeks. But 40 weeks this year? Nothing explains that.

@danielbowen Warrigal Rd is always a disaster. Need a peak hour bus only lane and Chadstone needs its own exit point to the Monash.
-
Post #2252522
@hmoffatt @danielbowen unless you put it overhead. But yes, an issue. Still think Chadstone need they own connection to the Monash and a tunnel connecting the Alamein line to the Pakenham line with a stop at Chadstone.

@danielbowen they run trains on the Sandy line?
-
Post #2252519
@danielbowen It should be law that they actually have to tell us. It's not really public transport anymore.

@briantrnn @danielbowen no. All they say is planned works. Not what they're actually doing.
